WE THE PEOPLE of the Hip Hop community are connected through a sound that has resonated our souls from head to toe with an impromptu way of communicating, behaving, dressing and thinking.

As members of the Hip Hop Community, our Hip Hop membership is validated by a guest list, a VIP section, a promotion to buy and showcase someone else’s product, ALL AT OUR OWN EXPENSE.

Entities can use their advertising dollars to target us for their own marketing campaigns and make millions, but WE THE PEOPLE do not reap the benefits.

THE HIP HOP UNION is a governing body of businesses, individuals, entities and resources that represent a collective interest in the Hip Hop culture and are dedicated to its growth and evolution.

WE THE PEOPLE of the Hip Hop Community . . . want to ensure that the billions of dollars generated from the Hip Hop Industry are appropriated and are benefiting our communities, are funding our business endeavors, are rebuilding our credit, providing advocacy in the prison system, establishing political structure, expanding employment and education opportunities. The Social Services of Hip Hop is organizing this movement to build Hip Hop’s infrastructure. Our CITIZEN REGISTRATION DRIVES will allow us get an accurate count of how many Hip Hop Citizens exist globally. Effective advocacy starts with research. We will like to conduct surveys that analyze your opinions and feelings about issues surrounding the Hip Hop community.

Through these drives we hope to create a national database that captures the essence of who we are as a people, what we represent and how we want to be treated. We want to connect with any and all businesses and/or organizations that are presently mobilizing in similar manners. Let’s make our dollar count, our opinions valued and our culture respected.

By pledging to recognize our Hip Hop Citizenship we have the opportunity to share in the power that has continued to captivate us for over 30 years. We can begin to assess our strengths and rid the community of our weaknesses. We can all play a part in our direction, in our history.

WHY NOT PLAN, WHY NOT SHARE, WHY NOT GIVE, WHY NOT LOVE, WHY NOT BUILD, WHY NOT GROW?

Other communities have a systematic approach to acquiring and keeping wealth within their communities. We have birthed educators, business professionals, politicians, psychologist, doctors, lawyers, computer gurus, architects... all in tune with Hip Hop.

Citizenship in Hip Hop is a way for us to connect with the positive attributes of the culture. It is a way for us to Unite Our Ideas, Unite Our Concerns, And Unite Our Power.

WHEN STATEMENTS ARE MADE ABOUT AND ON BEHALF OF THE HIP HOP COMMUNITY, HAS YOUR PERSPECTIVE BEEN HEARD, WERE YOU ASKED?

We want your perspectives to be heard and responded to. For Instance, 90% of the Hip Hop Community do not agree with the ruling…. 55% are prepared to take action…. In order for us to make significant changes we have to have numbers. There is STRENGTH in numbers.
